Rick Genest + Thierry Mugler + Lady Gaga

If anyone of you has watched, Lady Gaga's new song, Born This Way music video, you wouldn't NOT remember seeing the zombie boy, in there!

As I watched the music video, I thought it was the wonder of powerful makeup!
I was half right, Lady Gaga IS wearing a makeup, to look like Rick Genest's real life tatttoo.

Co-star, Rick Genest, is NOT wearing any makeup, that's how he looks in his everyday life!
He is head to toe, fully inked, to satisfy his passion to be a zombie!

In an interview with Bizarre, Rick Genest explained why he turned himself into a zombie.

What look are you trying to achieve with your tattoos?
They’re about the human body as a decomposing corpse – the art of a rotting cadaver.
It’s also a tribute to horror movies, which I love.

What influenced your tattoos?
When I was a kid I was a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I wanted to be a ninja turtle and live in the sewers. But as I got older I fell in love with zombies and wanted to become one.
Oh, and I love George A Romero’s Living Dead movies.
Anyway, the closest thing I could get to becoming a zombie was to get tattooed like one.
I see my tattoos as celebrating the art of obscenity and the macabre.

What would you have changed?
I’d have a lot more blood in general, dripping and oozing everywhere.
I’d have loved to have blood pouring out of my eyes and a few more bugs here and there.
But it just didn’t happen like that.

It was Nicola Formichetti, Creative Director for Mugler, Fashion Director for Lady Gaga, Vogue Hommes Japan and Uniqlo, who spotted, Rick Genest, on Facebook and then a series good fortune bestow to Rick Genest!

Rick is now the star of the Fall 2011 Mugler Men's compaingn!

He is also featured in special Mugler spread in Vogue Homme Japan!

And of course, a co-star in Lady Gaga's Born This Way music video!

So, congrats to Rick Genest to your great success in the fashion world!
